摘　　要：“会话含意”在国际交流言语行为中的控制和运用清华大学教授胡庚申一、引言人们进行交际时的话语往往不只具有其字面的意思。发话人怎样设法传达其“言外之意”，而受话人又如何去理解发话人的“弦外之音”？格赖斯（Ｇｒｉｃｅ，１９７５）认为，这些话语的生成和理解之...In this paper,the author,in line with Grace's theory of 'Conversational Implicature',exemplifies the regulations and applications of conversational implicature in the speech acts of interenational communication.He tries to evidemce that conversational implicature generated by violating the Cooperation Principle proves to be the basis on which the language and pragmatic strategies are built up and advocate that the 'third party'should be simultaneously put into consideration when the speaker and the hearer or both sides intend to effectively regulate and make use of conversational implicature.The author also points out that appropriately regulating and applying the conversational implicauture will in turn help increase communicator's pragmatic strategies and the art of language in the process of international exchanges and cooperation.
