摘　　要：通过强化政府权威来保障现代化的顺利推进,这是亨廷顿为发展中国家提供的治国方略,颇受推崇.本文认为亨廷顿的观点具有一定合理性,但要全面把握其内涵,才能正确借鉴,不能走极端,否则将滑向专制极权的深渊、为此,本文从权威的合法性与有效性、集权与分权、权威的民主化三个方面对亨廷顿观作了较为详细的剖析.It is a highly praised strategy by S·P·Huntingtou for the developing countries that government authority should be strengthened to ensure the process of modernization to advance successfully. The rationality of the strategy is approved in this paper, meanwhile the author thinks it should be correctly used for reference. It is important to grasp the contains of Huntington' s views and not go to the extreme of despotism, so the author analyses Huntington's Views on authority from the following aspects: the legality and effectiveness of authority; Centralization and decentralization; the democratization of authority.
