摘　　要：近年来,境内旅游迅速发展,使旅游业充满了生机,但同时又带来了许多新问题。研究这些问题,正确认识境内旅游的性质,了解其经济基础,才能科学地预测它的发展趋势,才能加强管理,正确引导,使境内旅游有计划地、健康地发展。本文拟就此作一些探讨。The authors offer their opinions on theoretical problems concerning our domestic travel after presenting the results of survey in 1990. 1. Nature: Our domestic travel at present is characterized by low consum ption, limited personal travel budgets, short and middle-distances,and mainly unit-spon- sored. 2. Economic basis: The authors. find that our domestic travel is economically based on the income and consumption patterns of the domestic tourists. 3. The tendency of development: The authors,based on the above survey, break down the numbers into the unit-sponsored and therefore re-imbursed tourists and the self-financed tourists and the authors estimate that at present,the number of annual domestic tourists is around 300 million.They predict a tendency of slow growth with fluctuation within a certain range in the event of policy changes. Finally the authors conclude that we must stress our domestic travel and give positive guidance so that our domestic travel contributes to our economy and employ- ment. It is equally important to raise the general level in order to foster our public ethics.
