摘　　要：在当代世界一百多个发展中国家中,沙特阿拉伯在政治发展方面显示出一些独特的现象。绝大多数发展中国家独立建国时,政治上都仿行西方建立现代形式的共和政体,如非洲在二次大战后独立的50个国家中有44个是共和制。The long continuity of monarchism system in Saudi Arabia is not accidental, but has its profound historical, cultural, economic and social roots. It is a peculiar political system largely in conform with the development of themodern Saudi Arabian society. The monarchical system is a natural continui-ty and extension of the traditional family rule on the Arab peninsular at mo-dern times; the modern political system; and parliamentary republic thinkingof the West has exerted limited impact on the Saudi Arabian society;the con-servative nature of the monarchical polity can very well be identical with thatof the criterion for the Islam political value; and the huge oil wealth has pro-vided lubricants for easing social contradictions and political conflicts; thus,such limited monarchical system with the crown power being subject to somerestraints possesses certain resilient adaptibility to political changes. A deep-going study of the monarchical political system of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a great value of reference for understanding the evolution and development of similar systems in the entire Arab world.
