摘　　要：如果把《句法结构》(Syntactic Structures)出版之时看作生成语法诞生之日,生成语法已经到了而立之年。对于生成语法的内容,自1978年以来我国出版的各种语言刊物上已有许多文章作了不同程度的介绍。本文主要回顾这一学派的“创业史”,看看这门新学科是怎样发展起来的。With the publication of Chomsky's Syntactic Structures in 1957 a revolution was ushered in in linguis-tics and generative grammar began to assert itself. This article, based on discussions with linguistsactively involved in the generative enterprise, is written in commemoration of its thirtieth birthday.It recollects its origin, growth, crisis and recuperation, concluding with a short description of thestate of the art.
