摘 要:专门用途英语(ESP)教学本质上来说是语言教学。在我国大多数高校中却以专业英语的名义由各专业教师承担,这势必带来一系列的问题。一直以来,英语教师是ESP研究的主力也正在逐步成为ESP教学的主力。调查显示不同高校外语学院开设的ESP课程数量虽然有限,没有系统性,无法满足学生的多样化要求,但是各校开设课程的自主性一定程度上保证了课程质量,减少了盲目性。ESP is English teaching in nature,But it is being taught as professional English by teachers with different discipline background in most of universities which causes a series of problems. English teachers, who have been the main force of ESP research, are hoping to and will gradually become main force of ESP teaching. The investigation shows although ESP courses currently offered by colleges of foreign languages are limited and unsystematic, and hard to meet the needs of all the students,but the autonomy in the courses choices ensures the quality and decreases the arbitrariness to a certain extent.
