摘　　要：英国殖民撤退过程中的军事条约和协定张顺洪第二次世界大战后，随着民族解放运动的蓬勃高涨，英国被迫不断进行殖民撤退，到６０年代末期，英国的绝大多数殖民地已获得独立，昔日的“日不落”帝国仅残存一些零星的小块殖民地了。在这个殖民撤退过程中，英国为了维护自身的...Abstract This article examines the military treaties and agreements between Britain and her colonies and protectorates of former colonies and protectorates in the course of British post war imperial retreat.The signing of such treaties and agreements was largely the precondition for British recognition of independence for the colonies or protectorates.It was advantageous to the maintenance of Britain's established links with and economic interests in the newly independent countries.It helped to maintain British international strategic status.The treaties and agreements also enabled Britain to influence the armed forces,and to interfere in the internal affairs of the newly independent countries.They were a component of British strategy of decolonization and played an important part in the transition from colonialism to neocolonialism.
