摘　　要：新屋垮位于蕲春县城西北28公里处,东距毛家咀西周木构建筑遗址约600米。属蕲春县达城乡柏条铺村所辖(图一)。1996年4月,这里的村民在疏理稻田排水沟时,发现了青铜器,文物部门闻讯立即赶赴现场,对出土地点进行了实地勘察,确定为一西周窖藏遗迹,随后进行了清理发掘。青铜器出土地点在新屋塆(自然村)In April of 1996, a Western Zhou bronze storage was found by local peasants at Baitiaopu Village, Dacheng Township, Qichun County. The yield consists of 5 square tripods,1 round tripod and 1 dou-vessel. The five square tripods each bear an important ins cription or emblem. The well preserved five tripods each consist of a rectangular body and four cylindrical legs. The designs include fine taotie,dragon,phoenix,etc.. Both of the round tripod and the dou vessel are somewhat damaged,and bear taotie and animal masks. The bronzes are dated to the early Western Zhou dynasty, never later than the period of King Kang. A major event in Shang-Zhou archaeology in Hubei, the discovery is the first of its kind made in eastern Hubei.
