摘　　要：棉纺织业是日本近代资本主义工业发展的主要支柱之一。日本近代棉业资本的形成与日本传统的棉纺织业有着密不可分的关系。本文拟对日本幕末开国前棉纺织业的发展及由此而引起的农民阶层的阶级分化状况进行一些初步的考察分析,以期加深对“日本式”近代化变革的理解和认识。Cotten textile industry was one of the most important traditional indu- stries 14 Japan before its opening to the outside world. Before Tinpo, in some economically developed regions bases for commercial production in considerable scale had been formed, the seeds of capitalist production de- veloped greatly, and 'peasant markets——regional markets' the major for- ces of merchants in rural areas began to form. But because of low level of the production, the strengthening of feudul rule,the oppression of the pro- capitalist commercial capital, the development of the capitalist produc- tion mode was enormously hindered, and conseqently a tendency of tur- ning to 'parasitic landlordism' appeared. The Inclination of the feudal power to 'absolutism' in the process decided that the development of the Japanese nationalist capitalism had to go a difficult and tortuous way.
