摘　　要：西南农业大学侯光炯教授(1905—),从事土壤科学研究60年,为发展土壤科学,为建立中国自己的农业土壤学倾注了全部智慧与心血。他提出了土壤肥力的"生物热力学"理论,并研究出"土壤自然免耕法",在生产实践上得到广泛应用。本文对侯光炯教授的土壤科学研究工作做了全面的介绍。Having been engaged in soil science for 65 years,Prof.Hou Guangjionghas thrown all his wisdom and energy into the development of soil scienceand the founding of China's own agricultural soil science.He put forwardthe theory on'biothermodynamics'of soil fertility and'the method of thenatural virginization of soil'used extensively in agricultural production.This paper gives an overall account of his research work in soil science.
