摘　　要：基于韩礼德系统功能理论,本文以2012年美国总统奥巴马的胜选演讲为例分析他是如何运用情态操作词来实现他语言的人际功能的。在简要介绍人际功能和情态操作词之后,本文着重从低量值情态词、中量值情态词和高量值情态词分析此次胜选演讲中情态操作词的人际功能。笔者发现奥巴马使用低中量值情态词的频率高于高量值情态词,恰当地运用情态操作词为他在胜选演讲中实现人际功能起到了极大的帮助作用。Based on Halliday's Systemic-functional Grammar,this thesis takes American President Obama's victory speech in 2012 as an example to analyze how he successfully uses the modal operators to realize his language interpersonal function. After introducing the interpersonal function and modal operators briefly,this essay focuses on analyzing the interpersonal function of modal operators in the victory speech from three aspects: low value modal operators,median value modal operators and high value modal operators. The author finds that Obama uses low and median value operators more frequently than high value operators and appropriate use of the modal operators makes great contribution to the realization of interpersonal function in his victory speech.
