摘　　要：美国著名作家霍桑以其对人类心灵隐密世界的探索而被称为心理现实主义小说大师。本文通过分析霍桑短篇代表作《教长的黑面纱》中象征技巧的运用,探讨作家是如何运用象征来揭示主题的。The famous American writer Nathaniel Hawthorne in its exploration of the human mind which is called the hidden world master of psychological realism novels. This paper analyzes the Hawthorne short masterpiece 'Imam Black Veil' in the use of symbolic techniques to explore how the writer is a symbol to reveal the subject.
