摘　　要：结合《普通高等学校图书馆规程》深入分析了网络环境下西部高校图书馆面临的机遇和挑战,提出了应从高校图书馆职能、管理体制、组织机构、文献资源建设、读者服务、馆员队伍建设等方面进行变革,以适应西部高校图书馆现代化发展的要求。Connecting with <The Regulations for the Common University Libraries>ssued by Ministry of Education, this paper analyzes deeply on the opportunities and challenges faced by the western university libraries under the network environment, and points out that the western university libraries should make revolution from aspects of the functions, the managerial system, the organizational set-up, the construction of literature resources, the service for the readers, and the construction of librarian ranks, etc.
