摘　　要：以山西省水利建筑工程局的专利申请工作为例,阐述了专利申请对企业的作用,以及如何做好企业的专利申请工作。专利申请是使自己的技术投资、发明创造得到法律保护的唯一途径;专利的拥有量代表了企业的自主创新能力,是一种无形的资产和宣传,提高了企业的形象和知名度,使企业在该领域能够赢得客户的信任,具有强大的市场竞争优势。要做好企业的专利申请工作,就必须不断学习专利的相关知识,充分认识专利对企业的重要作用,对专利研发和申请工作做到思想上重视、组织上健全、制度上完善、经费上保障、项目上支持。Based on the experience of patent application from the Shanxi Hydraulic Engineering Construction Bureau, this article mainly elaborates on the effect of applying patents for a construction enterprises, and how to make a good job of applying patents. Patents application seems the only opportunity to protect the enterprise's technical investment and inventions through lawful approach. The amount of patens held by a enterprise stands for its innovative abilities. As a form of intangible asset and propaganda, it will improve enterprise's image and reputation, make it win more confidence from clients, and then the enterprise may gain more competitive advantages in its market operations. This article suggests that to prepare for patents application, a enterprise must learn more knowledge about patent, fully understand its importance to companies, pay more attention to it in mind, try hard to build a sound organization and system, and be supportive both in funds and on projects.
