摘　　要：社会道德的演变与特定的历史环境密切相关。共和后期,对外征服战争的胜利与霸权的确立导致罗马国家内部发生了深刻的变化。随着巨额财富和东方文化传入罗马,加之国家监督功能的削弱,瓦解了罗马民族引以为荣的传统美德,导致公民社会道德急剧滑坡,从而深刻地影响了罗马帝国的发展进程。The evolution of social morality is closely related to the specifically historical environment. In the late Roman Republic,the victories from conquering the foreigners and the established hegemony led to profound changes in the country. With the huge wealth and the Oriental culture having been brought in and the weakened national supervision,traditional virtues that the Romans were so proud of collapsed. Citizens' social morality declined rapidly,which had a great influence on the development of Roman Empire.
