摘　　要：发展西部经济，需要培育和发展西部证券市场。它有助于完善西部市场体系，促进西部市场主体完善和发展、筹集西部地区发展所需资金、优化西部地区产业结构。培育和发展西部证券市场，主要在于规范发展西部地区市场主体、西部证券市场客体、西部证券交易场所，以及培育和扶持证券投资主体。To foster the economic development in west China, the security is indispensable.This paper suggests that the hope of West China's economic development lies in stabilizing and perfecting the security market; raising funds for investments. First of all, attention should be paid to the market system. Moreover it is imperative to regulate the security market's participants and locations. These changes will bear far-reaching impacts upon the economic development in west China.
