That is exactly what free trade means in this article.The article places the US Canadian free trade in its historical context,describing and analyzing the main political economic events and circumstances which led to the conclusion of 1988 US Canadian Free Trade Agreement.As a matter of fact,the idea of US Canadian free trade is almost as old as the separate existence of these two countries.But it couldn’t be realized until the eighties of this century.The main obstacle in establishing the free trade relations is the difference between them in economic strength and interest.The article seeks to show that this bilateral free trade could be only based on the mutually benefited agreement.Even most devleoped country like the United states and Canada still needs some kind of help and protection before it can participate in free trade.
