摘　　要：地图制图在地理信息系统中占有一个非常重要的地位,也是各地图生产单位的需求。随着计算机技术的发展,地图制图已经不需要完全依赖于手工制作,期望用自动化的、功能强的智能化电脑输出来代替繁杂的人工劳动。同时,输出效果要尽可能逼近手工效果。基于此,本文研究了在ArcEngine基础上设计与实现地图制图系统的有关技术问题。本文首先论述了研究背景,专题地图制图和GIS的联系及组件技术,专题地图的理论,制图技术的发展,以ArcGIS为例说明了在数字环境下制作专题地图。在此基础上说明系统设计和实现。其主要包括了系统数据管理功能,系统的专题数据渲染功能,地图整饰出版功能。Mapping is a very important part of the geographic information system.It is also an essential requirement of the map product department.With the development of the computer science;main tasks in mapping are not handwork.What the people expect is automatic,powerful and intelligent mapping instead of multifarious handwork and their map effect must be as same as possible.So,in this paper,some technological issues on the design and implementation of mapping system based on ArcEngine are discussed.At first,this paper focuses on the research background,the relationship between thematic map production and GIS,the theory of thematic maps,the development of technology.To ArcGIS as an example describes the production of thematic map at digital environment.Next,On the basis of the above description,this paper describes the design and implementation of automap system.That mainly include the function of data management,thematic data rendering,map automatic decoration.This system have completed the production of administration division map base on the shp data of shanghai City.
