摘　　要：The Nampula Subprovince in Northern Mozambique is a Mesoproterozoic gneiss terrane with a Pan-African(523-550 Ma)amphibolite-facies met- amorphic overprint.The province forms a pivotal part of the evolution and final assembly of Gondwana on the eastern seaboard of the African continent.
