摘　　要：介绍了美国ESRI公司地理数据库Geodatabase的相关知识和特点,简要介绍了UML模型、CASE工具、Visio软件的相关知识,并详细介绍了利用Visio软件建立地理数据库的方法和步骤,介绍了城市交通指挥系统的地理数据库的相关理论,最后利用Visio2003为昆明市交通指挥系统平台建立了比较复杂的地理数据库,达到了预期的效果.The thesis introduces US ESRI Company'Geodatabase and some basic knowledge and characteristic in building a Geodatabse with UML tools,such as UML model,CASE tools,Visio,etc.What's more,How to build a Geodatabase with Visio tools was illustrated at large.In addition,some theory of urban traffic control system's database is introduced.In the end,A Kunming City Traffic Control System's Geodatabe is built with this method as a illustration,and the Geodatabase is very good for Traffic control.
