摘　　要：THE term “Jinshang” or “Shanxi merchant” is a tribute to Shanxi merchants during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. The industry and wisdom of Shanxi merchants over centuries elevated some to the level of business magnate. The Chang family in Shanxi’s Yuci is a perfect example of the Jinshang.
