摘　　要：智能虚拟环境是虚拟现实和人工智能/人工生命两种技术的结合。本文结合我们现有的研究工作, 对智能虚拟环境这一新的交叉课题的研究进行综述, 并对其中的关键技术问题进行了讨论, 具体内容包括智能虚拟环境系统的结构,具有复杂行为和生命特征的对象构模方法,实时绘制,智能交互,知识表示和推理等, 最后对这项技术的进一步发展进行了展望。Intelligent virtual environment (IVE) is the integration of virtual reality and artificial intelligence/artificial life. In this paper, we present an overview of the research and development of IVE, and discuss in detail on key techniques, including the architecture of IVE system, complex behavior modeling, real-time rendering, intelligent interaction, knowledge representation and reasoning. Finally we draw a conclusion.
