摘　　要：Product data management is the foundation and platform to implement Concurrent Engineering. To take manufacturing resource planning of enterprises into account while performing concurrent product design, the paper puts forth a new theory, namely DFRP (Design for Resource Planning), by which fulfills the data intercommunication between PDM (Product Data Management) and MRPII (Manufacturing Resource Planning), thus brings the DFRP into DFX (Design for Something) tools.
