摘　　要：事情要从1998年春节说起。我在成都理工学院的好朋友、被派到四月!甘孜州白玉县担任科技副县长的张灼然,回到成都就给我讲了很多白玉县的故事。Shanyan Township of Baiyu County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province is home to Geba primitive tribe that consists of patriarchal descents coming into being some 2,700 years ago. The tribe is referred to as 'the only living specimen of a primitive patriarchal society'. Within the Geba tribe, the system of discussing public affairs in a democratic manner, fair distribution of properties, public ownership of all production means such as land, pasture, farming implements is implemented. The people in the tribe believe in the god of nature. They enjoy equality regardless of the old and the young, the poor and therich. This June, Li Tianshe, a Sichuan cameraman, accompanied by Fan Hechuan, director of Baiyu Tourism Administration, the only university student inthe tribe and others surmounted various hardships and dangers to enter the tribe in Shanyan in an attempt to unveil the mystery of Geba patriarchal tribe with his pen and camera.
