摘　　要：为了适应社会结构的变化、文件数量剧增、信息缺失、文件易逝和技术进步，档案工作者应改变旧观念，投入智力资源，进行合作，积极主动地参与文件鉴定和档案接收，使档案工作不再是随着编史工作风气变化的“风向标”，档案不再只反映狭隘的研究兴趣（即原来的工作“中心”），而能真正反映人类生活的方方面面（即“边缘”）。这篇文章孕育了后保管模式的思想，六年后作者首次提出后保管概念。Abstract In order to response to the structural change in society,bulk,information missing,vulnerable records and technology,archivists must establish new concept framework,commit cooperation and more intellectual resources to taking an active part i the selection and acquisition of records.The archivists should never remain a weathervane moved by the changing winds of historiography, and archives can reflect the broad spectrum of human experience rather than narrow research interests -This is from the center to the edge.This article actually discussed the main idea of the post-custodial paradigm(according to Terry Cook′s views), six years later Gerald Ham created the new concept″post-custodial era″。
