摘　　要：异步传递方式(ATM)是实现B-ISDN的核心技术。局域网仿真是通过ATM网络来实现局域网的互连互通,是ATM的关键技术。文章参照ATM论坛的建议设计了一种局域网仿真容户机,并对该客户机的组成、原理、主要功能及其基本配置等进行了介绍、分析和描述。Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) is the kernel techniques in realizing B - ISDN, and LAN Emulation is a kind of LAN Interconnection and Interworking techniques based on ATM network , which is the key of ATM. In this paper, A kind of advanced LEC is designed according to the recommendation of ATM Forum. In detail, the Logical composing, working principles, main functions and basic configuration of the LEC are discussed, illustrated and analysed.
