ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT FOR 51 CASES OF INCONTINENCE OF URINE AND STOOL CAUSED BY EXCESSIVE SORROW AND FRIGHT

摘　　要：51 Cases of incontinence of urine and stool caused by excessive sorrow and fright were treated with acupuncture at Shenshu(BL 23), Pangguangshu (BL 28), Sanjiaoshu (BL 22), Zhongji (CV 3) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6) once a day, 10 times of treatment for one course. After treatment of 1to 3 courses, 33 cases (64. 7 % ) were cured, 14 cases (27. 5 % ) were markedly improved and 4 cases (7. 8% ) were ineffective. The effective rate (92. 2% ) is apparently higher than that with Western medicine. It is shown that acupuncture exhibits positive clinical significance in treating this disease.
