摘　　要：大众体育（或称社会体育、群众体育），构成整个体育事业的重要组成部分。本文运用社会学的观点，论述了大众体育对我国社会发展的积极意义。大众体育的发展水平，体现了社会的文明与进步程度，是一个国家综合国力的具体表现。社会主义中国的大众体育，经历了一个较长的发展时期。改革开放给大众体育的发展带来了生机和活力，提供了广阔的发展前景。大众体育对人的社会化和继续社会化具有积极意义，对社会稳定和社会发展、提高中华民族的整体素质具有重要意义。Sport for all is the signficant part in the whole physical education and sport cause. The thesis from the sociology point of view, expounding the positive meaning of sport for all to our social development. The development level of sport for all reflect the social culture and progress degree. It's also the particular indication of a state's consdiclated power. Sport for all of socialist China experienced a long development period. It was the reform and opening policy that bright about new life and vitality to sPOrt for all, that provided widely development prospect. Sport for all plays the important role in human's socialization and is proceeding socialization, to development, to the importance of the whole Chinese nation quality
