摘　　要：The novel eomplexes of alkali and rare earth metal with periodate have been prepared for the first time. Chemical analysis indicates that the composition of the complexes is M_2LnIO_6·xH_2O(M=Li,Na,K;Ln=Pr, Tb),and all of the complexes have been characterized by UV-Visible,IR spectroscopic studies,susceptibility measurements and thermal analysis.The novel eomplexes of alkali and rare earth metal with periodate have been prepared for the first time.
