摘  要:In the transition region, some properties of glass may change with the increase of soaking time and will gradually tend towards equilibrium. Such a relaxation change is considered as the result of local rearrangements of certain atoms or molecules in the glass and is termed structural relaxation. Because of this, many physico-chemical properties of the glass, to quite an extent, are dependent on its thermal history.
