HMO TREATMENT OF UNBRANCHED ALKANES

摘　　要：It is well known that HMO theory is successful in understanding the chemical properties of conjugated molecules. By a similar way, some authors has studied nonconjugated molecules, and some useful results have been obtained. In this note, after a careful theoretical analysis, π orbital (anti-symmetrical with respect to the carbon frame plane )HMO formulae which are suitable to unbranched alkanes are obtained.
