摘　　要：《黑暗的心脏》是英国作家约瑟夫·康拉德的一篇中篇小说。主人公库兹在死前所发出的感叹-"恐怖!恐怖!"深刻地揭露了殖民主义的黑暗。本文旨在从后殖民主义视角探讨《黑暗的心脏》中的后殖民主义思想。库兹死前所发出的感叹揭示了两个方面的内容:一是殖民主义对被殖民者和殖民者的身心摧残;二是盈利与"仁慈"专制的水火不容。This paper is an attempt to explore the horror in Joseph Conrad’s novel Heart of Darkness, as is revealed in the last words spurted out by Kurtz before his death-“The horror! The horror!”. Kurtz’s last words“The horror! The horror!”can be interpreted into two major aspects, i.e. the horror of the pernicious effects of colonization on the colonized, and even on the colonizers themselves, as well as the horror of not being able to gain profits from the natives while exercising the benevolent tyranny.
