摘　　要：交通系统在城市的发展中具有举足轻重的作用,随着我国城市化进程的加快和居民生活水平的提高,城市人口数量迅速增长,机动车数量越来越多,因此交通阻塞、交通事故、能源消费和环境污染等社会问题日趋恶化,交通阻塞造成的经济损失巨大,这已经成为我国国民经济发展的瓶颈问题。从美国、日本等发达国家的长期实践可以证明,仅依靠修建道路、扩大道路网络规模等传统方法来缓解日益增长的交通需求,很难适应我国社会经济快速发展的需求,最好的解决方法是建立城市的智能交通系统。Transportation system plays a decisive role in the development of city , with the speeding up of urbanization and im-provement of living standards , city population increased rapidly , the numbers of motor vehicle are more and more , so the traffic jam , traffic accident , energy consumption and environmental pollution and other social problem are getting worse , the economic loss is huge , it has become a bottleneck in the development of the national economy . It can be proved that the methods of building roads , expanding the scale of road network and others can only ease traffic needs , and it is difficult to meet the requirement of so-cial economic development from the long-term practice of American , Japan and other countries , the best solution is building the in-telligent transportation system .
