摘　　要：本文从《李尔王》所展现的分裂世界入手,通过分析分裂背后的兽性与人性对立的实质,讨论剧中李尔王疯癫的深层意义:疯癫使李尔摆脱了世俗王权、野心欲望的羁绊,可以见理智时所未见,感清醒时所未感,向神性飞跃,最终以自己和女儿科迪利娅的死完成了对乱世的精神救赎。This essay firstly analyses the divided world in King Lear,and then through an analysis of the essence of the division,that is,the conflict between animality and humanity,tries to reveal the significance of King Lear's madness. Lear's madness rids him of worldly entanglements such as ambition and desire for power,and enables him to see and feel what he cannot see and feel during his sanity and to transcend toward divinity.His and Cordelia's death might be seen as spiritual redemption for an apocalyptic world.
