摘　　要：以开放的目光看待西方文化的影响,开放交流、汲取营养是不可阻遏的,所以我说"中西结合"问题是绕不过去的。只是今天我们有了更多的自信和经验,其中就包括几十年来勇敢地走出去的画家们,他们对西方文化应该有更深刻、更广泛的体会认识。这一种亲身的经历、体验、实践的过程极其珍贵,不论他们回归与否,都会在他们艺术的内在精神和面貌上有所体现。Nevertheless,miserable reality makes numerous people lose self-confidence including cultural confidence, in these years and these people even apply western aesthetic evaluation standard to Chinese painting-a national cultural carrier.The 'Chinese and western integration' became the unique and inevitable way for the development of Chinese painting once and this concept once controlled quite a few pioneers.With economic development in reform and opening up,people's wealth was not in proportion to their mental state,hence,people gradually realized that the self-confidence in national culture was indispensable.Can a nation which is deprived of the culture exist as a nation? Recently,an old poet holds that loving China means loving Chinese culture.I am aware that many Chinese painters have reached consensus in valuing tradition and getting close to life.Certainly,the influence from western culture is treated in open attitude is absolutely not fossil,retrogressive,return to the ancients or conservative.The nutrition from open communication is unrestricted so I hold that 'Chinese and western integration' is unavoidable. At present,we have much self-confidence and experience.Those painters who are brave to go abroad are also included in several decades and they have further deep and broad experience and understanding of western culture. Such personal experience and practice is extremely precious.Regardless of their return or not,their experience will be embodied in the inner connotation and look of their art.
