摘　　要：CBI教学模式是一种既能提高语言能力,又能促进专业知识学习的教学方法。通过加强对旅游英语教师复合能力的培养、改变教学手段、选择合适的教材、建立形式多样的综合评价方式等实现其在旅游英语教学中的有效运用,达到教师、教材、教法的有机融合以及培养具有较高专业知识和英语应用能力的复合型旅游人才的目的。CBI( Content Based Instruction) teaching model is a teaching method which can improve the language ability and promote the professional knowledge learning as well. Its effective usage in Tourism English teaching is presented in cultivating teachers' composite ability,changing teaching methods,choosing appropriate teaching materials,and various comprehensive evaluation methods,which can not only achieve the goal of integration of teachers,teaching materials and teaching methods,but also can train the compound tourism talents both with high professional knowledge and English application ability.
