摘　　要：2013年4月9日~21日,由中国民办教育协会高等教育专业委员会常务副理事长李维民任团长,部分省市民办院校、独立学院的董事长、校长及部门负责人组成的中国民办高校赴美考察团一行13人,对美国东海岸部分常春藤大学和有关学院进行了为期14天的参访活动。访问期间,考察了阿卡迪亚大学和曼哈顿维尔学院,走访了哈佛大学、耶鲁大学、麻省理工学院、西点军校、哥伦比亚大学、罗格斯大学等,除罗格斯大学和西点军校外,其余6所均为私立大学,私立大学在美国的地位可见一斑。此次参访,重点了解美国的高等教育体系、大学组织结构和管理、大学经费来源等方面的情况,并与校方在师资招聘、学校发展、教学质量管理、学生学分互认、国际合作等多个领域充分交换了意见。通过这次考察,加强了中美两国私立高等教育核心价值观的融合,给予代表团成员很多有益的启示。From April 9th to 21 st 2013,a 13-member investigation group had a 14-day visit to the United States.Led by Li Weimin,Executive Deputy Director of Higher Education Committee of China Private Education Association,the group was consisted of chairmen of the board of trustees,presidents and department heads of some Chinese private universities and independent colleges.They visited some Ivy League universities in the east coast of U.S.including Arcadia University,Manhattanville College,Harvard,Yale,MIT,West Point,Columbia,and Rutgers University.Except Rutgers University and West Point,the remaining six are all private universities,which can indicate that the status of private universities in the U.S.The visit focused on understanding the American higher education system,university organizational structure and management,and university sources of funding.They fully exchanged views on teacher recruitment,school development,teaching quality management,student credit recognition,and international cooperation.The visit further strengthened the integration of core values of private higher education in the two countries,and presented the delegates with inspirations.
