摘 要:作为在中国长大,后落户美国的流散作家哈金,当面临两栖身份的文化矛盾时,他选择用"他者"的眼光看待和想象心目中的中国,用自己的童年记忆来代替集体无意识,并基于这样的立场来表达一个"流散"知识分子的民族根基感,以求找到精神归宿,实现个人价值。哈金的"中国想象"具有人文体验性、艺术创造性等特点;但同时亦存在个人想象与集体记忆的落差、流散身份与本土生活的隔膜和外文写作之于他国读者期待视野的迎合与误读等局限。As a diasporic writer of American new immigrant Chinese writers, Ha Jin chooses to regard and image China of his own expectation from the “Other” perspective when he faces with the cultural conflict in a sense of “dual identity”. He uses memories of childhood to replace the community unconsciousness, and relies heavily on this standpoint to express the root foundation as a typical “diasporic” intellectual, revealing desire for spiritual return to shape the construction of personal value. “China as imagination” in Ha Jin’s writings on the one hand embodies some characteristics, including humanity experiences and art creativities etc.; and on the other hand manifests some limitations. These issues include, but not limited to, the gap between the personal imagination and the community memory, the estrangement between the diasporic identity and native life, and also his English-language texts, thus shaping by the western readers’ horizons of expectations and misunderstandings.
