摘 要:批评语言学是在当代西方人文科学领域中普遍存在的反唯科学主义和反唯理主义的背景下产生的。实证主义把科学或科学知识视为纯粹客观的东西,实证主义科学只限于所谓的“客观”描写和呈现“事实”,它忽视了这样一个简单的事实,即科学是由科学家进行的,而科学家跟任何其他人一样具有自己的观点、兴趣和意识形态。今天,语言对社会过程具有重要的干预作用这一思想在人文科学中已为人们所普遍接受。Critical linguistics can be seen as a challenge to the orthodoxy of mainstream linguistics which insists that the study of language is a descriptive discipline that has no business passing comments on materials which it analyses. Critical linguistics emerged from the background of a general reaction in the West against the influence of positivism and American behaviorism which presents science or scientific knowledge as something pure and objective, ignoring the simple fact that science is practiced by scientists who have opinions, interests and ideologies of their own. Today, the mediating power of language has been generally recognized in human studies.
