摘　　要：统计工作是图书馆现代化科学管理的基础和前提。图书馆的现代化科学管理是指以最小的投入,发挥最大的效益。统计工作是图书馆工作的重要组成部分。通过具体论述,建立健全各项统计制度;明确统计指标,确定统计标准,加强统计分析与研究;建立统计档案;加快图书馆统计工作手段的现代化;提高统计人员综合素质,保证统计工作质量等方面,提出改进措施,从而使图书馆各项管理工作更加标准化、规范化和科学化。The statistics in library is a basic work for modern management, which means the maximum profit with the minimum investment. Some problems existing in the library are discussed and some suitable counter-measures are suggested, such as improving the management, enhancing understanding of the statistic, making necessary Amendments to the rules and regulations, establishing statistic record, clarifying statistic standard, and improving statisticians' quality etc .Thus the management in the library will be more standardizd and scientific.
