摘　　要：《黑暗的中心》是英国现代作家约瑟夫·康拉德根据亲身经历创作的一部意味隽永的丛林小说。它丰富的内涵引起了文学批评家们的极大兴趣,使之成为现代文学作品中倍受关注的作品之一。一个世纪以来,文学批评家们试图从不同的角度去阐释这部作品,提供了从多个角度理解这部小说的视角。因此用鲜为人涉及的原型批评法来解读这部小说,通过对原型所组成的深层结构的阐释去发掘该作品的深层含意是有重要意义的。The Heart of Darkness is a bush novel written from the personal experiences of Joseph Conrad, an English modern writer. Its rich connotation has been arousing great interest of literature critics, which makes it one of the great concerns among modern literature works. For a century, literature critics have made attempts to interpret it from different angles and thus provide diverse perspective for interpretation. This paper tries to interpret this novel from stereotype criticism, a method scarcely employed, in order to probe its profound implication through the illustration of the deep structure formed by stereotype.
