摘　　要：通过对数据库技术发展的追溯,介绍了数据仓库的概念、产生、来源及其与数据库的区别,最后探讨了数据仓库的应用前景.Now the data processing in a company is always be transaction processing . But the data that a manager needs is not that kind of detail data. Managers need all_sided, integrated and compositive data. So Data WareHouse is coming. Through ascending to the developing process of the database technology, this paper tell the idea of what Data WareHouse is, how Data WareHousecame intobeing and the difference between Database and Data WareHouse.
