摘　　要：介绍ANALOG公司生产的实时压缩视频编解码电路ADV611/612的原理、特点及应用。ADV611/612内含SRAM及主处理器接口,其主要理论基础是小波变换、游程编码及哈夫曼编码。The principle, function and characteristic of ADV611/ADV612, which is a real-time video codec chip produced by ADI, are introduced, How to realize the video compression with ADV611/ADV612 based on computer and DSP is described. The chip intergrates gluseless video and host interface with on-chip SRAM. Its theory is based on the wavelet transformation, the run length and Huffman coder.
