摘　　要：中共八大是我党历史上一次具有深远意义的大会。时任中共中央秘书长的邓小平同志,不仅亲自筹备了这次大会,为八大的成功召开付出了大量的心血,同时他在八大所作的《关于修改党的章程的报告》,第一次提出了在新形势下如何加强党的建设的具体任务和措施,深刻阐述了如何正确对待无产阶级政党的领袖和防止个人崇拜的问题。The 8th CPC Congress is of far-reaching importance in CPC history. Comrade Deng Xiaoping was the CPC general secretary of the central party committee not only because he made all the preparations for the congress in person and contributed a lot to the success of the 8th CPC Congress but he made the address of On Revision of CPC Charter, suggested for the first time in CPC history tasks and measures to strengthen the construction of the party, and to treat proletarian party leaders correctly and guard against personal cult.
