摘　　要：20世纪50年代后期,中国共产党对人民民主建设的探索偏离了正确的方向,出现重大失误。导致出现这一重大失误的原因是复杂的,其中,执政党的决策失误是直接和主要的原因。建国初期,党对国内主要矛盾和党的中心任务的认识不够稳定和成熟,使党的决策缺乏坚实的认识基础;党的领导体制存在弊端,使党的领导集体不能有效制约和阻止毛泽东的错误决策;对人民民主实现途径的认识出现偏差,使党放弃了正确的、渐进式的民主建设道路。The CPC's seeking for the building of the people 's democracy deflected the right orientation, and met great setback in the late 1950's. The reason for the great setback was complicated , but the direct and major reason was the scheming errors of the Party. The knowledge of the major contradiction in the country and the center work of the Party was not stable and mature , the leading system of the Party was imperfect, and the knowledge of the real democracy methods was wrong, which made the Party deflect the right and gradual road of democracy building.
