摘　　要：　针对2003年10月25日20时41分,在甘肃省民乐—山丹发生6.1,5.8级地震,极震区烈度 度(继2002年12月14日玉门5.9级地震后,在祁连山中段发生的一次破坏性地震),论述了该地震的基本参数、震源机制、地震序列、地震背景及震害损失评估等.On october 25,2003, earthquakes of M6.1 and M5.8 occurred in Minle-Shandan, Gansu Province. They were successive destructive earthquakes taking place on the middle segment of Qilianshan after the Yumen earthquake of M5.9 on December 14,2002.In the meizoseismal area, the intensity was at eight degrees, and the damage losses caused by those earthquakes amounted to five hundred million yuans(RMB).The authors gave a description of basic parameters, source mechanism, earthquake sequences, seismological background and assessment of earthquake damage losses.
