英汉存现句的认知特点

摘　　要：讨论分析了英汉存现句的顺序象似性特点 ,说明英语的个别句式象似性程度低于汉语 ,并对存现句中名词短语的无定性及存在句、出现句。This paper discusses the proposition that the existential sentences in English and Chinese follow the principle of order iconicity and the former is less iconic than the latter.A tentative explanation is made about the reason why the noun phrases of the existential sentences are indefinite and about the unequal frequencies of occurrences of the three kinds of existential sentences.
