摘　　要：Jackendoff认为词义的内部结构由"必然"、"中心"与"典型"三个条件间的相互作用决定."选择规则"就是这些条件相互作用,进而实现相互间选择平衡的过程.本文旨在运用这一选择规则理论,从认知与语义学的角度探讨语际词汇差异产生的原因以及这一理论在外语词汇习得方面可能具有的启发意义.According to Jackendoff,the internal structure of a word's meaning is determined by the interaction of the three conditions of necessity,centrality and typicality.Preference rules are the processes by which the interaction of these conditions on lexical meanings results in a preferred weighting of these conditions themselves.This paper offers a discussion on how Jackenfoff's theory can possibly shed new light on the understanding of cross\|linguistic differences of lexical meanings and on foreign language lexical acquisition.
