摘　　要：本文探讨了西方当代哲学思潮对美国修辞学的影响。文章证明了：1）意志主义和弗洛伊德主义， 特别是后者，对美国当代最有声望的新修辞学代表—肯尼思·伯克的修辞理论建构的重大影响；2）存在主义与实用主义所体现的价值观现已成为修辞活动中最重要的诉诸对象之一。This paper probes the influence of some mod ern schools of philosophical thoughts on American rhetoric. This author demonstr ates that Voluntarism and Freudianism exert significant influence on the formula tion of the rhetorical theory of Kenneth Burke, the most renowned representative of New Rhetoric in America, and that the values embodied in Existentialism and Pragmatism have now become one of the most important resource of rhetorical appe al.
