摘　　要：出版自由是一项基本的人权,新闻自由是这一权利的延伸。200多年前的美国两大政党曾经为此展开了激烈的争论。联邦党领袖汉密尔顿与民主共和党领袖杰斐逊在出版自由问题上的交锋不仅体现了他们不同的政党利益,更重要的是反映了其由来的思想基础的差异。汉密尔顿崇尚工具理性和集权主义思想,杰斐逊则笃信自然权利学说及天赋人权观念。这一斗争的结果,奠定了200多年来美国新闻自由的传统,其意义是不容忽视的。The Press Freedom is a basic human right,the freedom of the press is the extension of this right,Two major American political parties once launched fierce dispute for this about more than 200 years ago.the confrontation on press freedom of Hamilton,the leader of Federal party,and jefferson,the leader of Democratic Republican Party,had not merely reflected their different political party interests,the more important thing is that it has reflected their difference of foundations of thought.Hamilton advocated the reason of tools and centralism,Jefferson sincerely believed in the natural right theory and talent human rights.This result of struggle has established the tradition of the freedom of press in USA for over 200 years,its meaning can't be ignored.
